Dear Parents...
We have planned this event so that our high school homeschoolers have a wonderful prom experience. We have tried to include details, which we hope will inform you and answer any questions you may have as you and your highschooler prepare for their prom experience.
We have planned this event so that our high school homeschoolers have a wonderful prom experience. We have tried to include details, which we hope will inform you and answer any questions you may have as you and your highschooler prepare for their prom experience.
- The prom will be well chaperoned by two to three sets of parents who will be available to help everyone have a fun and safe evening.
- Everyone attending will be seated at tables in the main dining room/dance area which will be at the Morganton Community Building.
- Chaperones and any parents that purchase tickets to attend the prom will be seated at a separate table with visibility to the students dining/dancing areas.
- We would prefer students stay till the end of prom, but we cannot keep them from leaving. We will do our best to make the prom so fun that they will not want to leave. Please talk to your high school student regarding when they are allowed to leave the prom; this issue needs to be handled between the parent and student. Once a student leaves, they may not return.
- Please discuss proper prom attire with your student. We suggest Semi-formal or formal attire. Modesty should be a priority. No shirts with logos of any kind.
- Students do not have to have a date to attend the prom; many students attend solo or with friends.
- We discuss with our DJ prior to prom the importance of any lyrics played being clean and age appropriate. We try our best to see that this rule is observed during the prom.
